Mots Fléchés

As you may know I'm English but now live in France. At secondary school I did three years of French but avoided taking it to O-level standard. I was more interested in science and as someone with dyslexia, school languages wasn't something I enjoyed - though I do love language just not what was taught in school.

I have been trying to learn French for some time now, using a combination of methods, and this is one of them. Mots Fléchés (arrow words) are simple crossword type puzzles and I'm doing the version for 8 year old children. I don't know how useful it is, but after nearly 18 months of doing them, I'm getting a feel for the letter frequency of French words, some obscure vocabulary and I'm sure it build up language.
