A Winter's Tale

a dark morning walk
but still plenty to see, clear
path-ways, not crowded

Early hair appointment in town - where it struck me how much smaller the market has become over the years, and how much less footfall than there used to be at 8.30am!

Then straight off to one of my usual Saturday haunts.  I got to The Vyne, National Trust nr Basingstoke at a quarter to ten.  Nice and quiet, plenty of parking, just my time of day.  

First person in the cafe for my usual coffee and scone then off walking through the woods :)

By the time I got home, of course the sun was shining - but it certainly wasn't shining before noon!

Now to get on with some housework :)
