Campbeltown and Machrihanish

We picked up a few supplies in Campbeltown before heading to the west coast for a stroll along the coast. The weather improved from light drizzle this morning to blue skies by the end of the day and, as usual, Scotland transforms from low, eerie greyness to a stunningly splendid set of colours and contours.

We all enjoyed the walk, the air and the feeling of remoteness. We’ve had views of Islay, Jura, Ireland, Gigha and Arran. The walk took us along the coast, past the seabird lookout and marine research station to a wonderful bay with pretty rock formations.

Funnily enough, tonight promises to be a very similar agenda to last night!

Plus star gazing. Oh, the stars!
