Celebration

Saturday started with a celebration of the life of a former church colleague and friend as we said our farewells to him. John was a kind, gentle man whom I had known for nearly 40 years.

Later in the day I went to watch Falkirk play Dumbarton and the celebrations were of a different kind as the Bairns ran out 3-0 winners.

It was a really scrappy start by both teams, but after a long-range Charlie Telfer shot beat the Dumbarton goal-keeper in the 37th minute, there was only going to be one winner. Two Declan McManus goals in the second half was just reward for Falkirk's better play in the latter part of the game.
