Tummy Time with Daddy

3 months 1 week 1 day

Our last full day here in Salem with Euan and his Mummy and Daddy as we fly home tomorrow.  The morning passed with lots of playtime between naps then Becky had the great idea to drive to Rockport for lunch at the Fish Shack.  We had a brief walk to the harbour after parking up because sadly the weather was grim but we all agreed it would be fun to revisit in the Spring before the tourism season gets underway as it is a pretty seaside town with gift shops and art galleries, historic seaman’s houses and independent coffee shops.  Rob treated me to calamari As I hadn’t tried it before and I can’t say I was overwhelmed, but my fried shrimp tacos were very tasty.  As are all meals with little ones, I don’t think anyone ate a full or hot meal as Euan was too interested in what was happening through the window on to the harbour or inside the restaurant to sleep and was passed around between us.  It was a lovely sociable outing and we drove the long way back around the very scenic peninsula to ensure Euan had enough of an afternoon nap, finished off by a scoot around the cemetery.

Once again we will miss our cuddles and conversation with our precious grandson but this has been a lovely, extra special, unscheduled visit and it will soon be Spring when we will return.
