Quod oculus meus videt

Learning from an Expert

It was the annual New Year walk at Weston Park this morning.  We went along to get a better idea how it's done, as I shall be leading a photo walk around the estate on 9th February.  I've added details on the Blip Meet page.

Martin Gee is the head gardener at the park and has an incredible knowledge of the park's grounds and history.  His family has been involved in the estate since 1803.  He had upwards of 100 people dutifully following him around the parkland, stopping periodically to point out and explain various areas of interest.  I'm certainly not expecting that many people and at the moment we have limited to invites for Blippers, though we're happy for family and friends to come along if they want to.  Please indicate on the blip meets page if you are hoping to come along.  It's obviously appreciated that if it is throwing it down with rain, or other things come up, people may change their minds.

I was actually quite surprised that the walk ended up at over 4 miles, but it all adds up to the running total for the year.

Day total: 4.5 miles

Year total: 34.74 miles
