Not enough staff

The queue was long and the staff couldn't handle the pressure.

This is why I really dislike chain coffee shops. We normally support independent cafes and tea rooms but our favourites were closed.
I can understand having to wait sometimes in little indy shops with smaller staff budgets and services, but in big, multi million pound chains they shouldn't have people waiting for as long as they had to here.

Look poor Theresa May stood there with not a visible member of staff to hand for ages ;)
