Friend’s tree

We visited a friend in our old village today. I loved her tree - so quirky and she said that one of the glass decorations (near the top with a big icicle hanging from the bottom of it) is older than her and she’s eighty. There are lovely figures and soft toys on the tree that she and her husband collected over the years (he passed a few years ago). It was lovely to catch up with her and she gave us cups of tea and delicious cookies. Like us, she is taking her decorations down tomorrow as she loves the Christmas period as much as we do and makes it last as long as possible!
