Caer Caradoc View

As we did last Sunday we set off fairly early to reach our destination today. We were starting a walk from Church Stretton in Shropshire.

Our route took us up over the Long Mynd. We passed Light Spout, apparently Shropshire's only waterfall. We walked part of The Portway which is an ancient track that was used to traverse the ridge for centuries. The highest point on the Long Mynd at Pole Bank is at 516 metres. It was a tad windy and not very clear on the top at that point.

The route took us via the village of Little Stretton too. It was a great 8-9 mile walk with fantastic views once the weather cleared. The image here  was taken on the final leg back to Church Stretton.

Thanks very much for all your congratulations and messages on my blip birthday yesterday.
