Standing in the wings.

This cormorant looked as if it was taking a bow, with the reeds and willows making the stage curtains.
Well that’s how it looked to me!

A nice walk round Rodley Nature Reserve which is where I took the photo. Lovely to see some sunshine. 9C but a very sneaky cold wind.
Not a lot about, except a lot of twitchers with huge lenses all looking for the firecrest which was seen at 9 am.
Unfortunately no sign of it while we were there.
They have a lot more patience than me.

However we did enjoy watching the birds in the Manager’s Garden where there are a lot of feeders.
No sign of the little owl, but plenty of chaffinches, bullfinches and reed buntings, and also a clever pheasant who had learnt how to jump up and help himself to the bird seed. ( see extra )
