Haven’t posted for a couple of days as the situation in Iraq kind of escalated and the camp where my nephew is stationed was heavily bombed and sustained several ground attacks.
We were waiting anxiously for news that he was ok and thankfully yesterday morning he was able to give us a quick call to say he and his colleagues were all safe & well.
His description of what went on hasn’t really settled our nerves.
Yesterday was spent waiting to see if Iran would back down and the situation would be calmer. If not, then then I think it would have been a very different story.
So far it appears things have settled for now. Had my great Niece, who has just turned 6 months old as a great distraction from the waiting.
