New Poles

Along much of the Bells Line of Road hundreds of charred and unsafe power poles are being replaced and re-installed. Some of the poles are eaten through by flames but many, like this one, are not much more than singed. The policy seems to be "if in any doubt at all ... whip it out and stick up a new one."

Frankly I am impressed at how much has been done in such a short  time ... and how quickly the work was initiated. It is amazing what can be done where there's a will.  I have done a lot of whingeing in this journal lately. Credit should go where it is due.
