Walking for Health in 2020

Will you join me?
Walking for health is one of the best things we can do for ourselves.
I've read several articles recently and have seen a programme called: "How much exercise do you really need to do?"

So without further ado, I went out for my first walking session today. This has nothing to do with hiking in nature, though if you're lucky enough to live near nature then that's fine too!  It also has nothing to do with absolutely getting in 10.000 steps a day! Though if that's what you love, then do it!

The plan is to do 30 minutes of brisk walking each day. I live in a hilly town, but I tried out a circuit I know for the first time today. There's a little uphill, some downhill and some flat. So ideal really.

Since it was my first outing of the year with this kind of walking, I did two circuits which lasted 20 minutes. Wow! I felt really good in my comfortable sports' shoes and swinging my arms and breathing in the fresh air. My circuit is virtually traffic free, so that's a bonus too.  I'm going to do this every day if it isn't pouring.
