The Auberge

This lovely old building on Rishton High Street, previously called the Auberge restaurant, has served many different purposes over the years. The date stone gives 1908 and it was initially a Manchester Co operative Bank.
A few years ago, my husband treated us to a memorable birthday meal there.
The food was excellent. Another time twelve of us went there to celebrate ten years of our local environmental group. That time, the soup was too salty, but the company was lovely.
It has been up for let quite a while now, so I am hoping it can be bought and transformed by a company who can deliver a useful service to our community. We already have a  well loved coffee shop, a deli, and two reasonable pubs. A good restaurant would be nice.
The weather here is stormy and extremely cold. Glad to have been out earlier when it was blue skied and sunny for a few hours. Plenty of laundry to keep me busy and then Social Media and my drawing course.
Have a good day blip friends and thanks for recent comments and stars.
