Muddy Bottom....

was certainly living up to its name today.

I was soaked to the skin within 10 minutes of leaving home with Bronte and Poppy so decided to do an extended walk.
Being spaniels they didn’t mind the driving rain and several inches of squelchy mud underfoot.
Spotted a few deer sheltering in the lee of a hedge. Have seen several in the same vacinity over the past couple of weeks. It’s a bit strange that they are out in daylight so near to the village.
By the time I got home I looked like I’d been swimming and the dogs needed a hose down
