Wanderings & Witterings

Cowden

A dull, overcast and uninspiring day, and the weather wasn't that great either.

The plan at the day's beginning was to get some work done on the computer but it kept freezing and playing up, then my 'office chair' started playing up too, sinking to its lowest position at every opportunity. Took a coffee break and a few deep breaths and started again.

Muddled through to lunchtime somehow then gave up and went over to Falkirk for some retail therapy. New office chair (and a couple of jumpers and lunch) purchased, some Allen Key twisting carried out and I now, at least, had a functioning chair.

Stopped off on my way back from the shops to grab a photo of the Forth and Clyde Canal and Cowden Hill at Bonnybridge. Blip sorted.

Back home, the computer had completed its scheduled virus scan, installed several Windows updates and restarted. Managed an hour or so of productive work before dinner and then headed out to (what turned out to be) a frustrating meeting in the evening.

All in all, people have had much worse days than my frustrating Thursday, and a sense of perspective is required (and acknowledged), but I'm glad Friday is another day.
