Backblip

A bit more progress (me as well as the little people) but a rather late evening meeting, hence the backblip.
Sorry for another part of the saga. It has turned into a challenge by the person who made the cosy, who is loving the story and wants more! :-))

TEAPOT SAGA
When hanging precariously on the string after falling off the teapot, Fred realised that the button was more than decorative and could, in fact, be undone!
"Typical!" said Mildred, rolling her eyes.
With the firemen on one side and the workmen on the other, they wrestled the button through the hole.
"At last", exclaimed John. As foreman, he had felt responsible for everyone's safety in this major exercise.

"Why are they celebrating" asked George, "I'm still parched!"
"They still have to get the teabag into the pot", replied Mildred.
"But the water will be cold by then and I don't like cold tea!" George complained.
"That's the whole point of having a tea cosy, it keeps everything warm" Mildred replied. "J must have known how long it would take when she crocheted this lovely cosy."
"I'm not sure she quite envisaged all this though!" laughed George. He was feeling better now progress was being made.
An alarm sounded and the firemen rushed off to other duties. "Call us again if you need us", shouted Fireman Sam.
"I'm sure we will", replied John.

However, George and Mildred still wondered whether they would, in fact, ever get any tea.
