The future meets the past

We were suddenly invited to lunch, to say "goodbye" to Jessica, who was flying out, tonight.

She is going to be an au pair in America for a year, maybe 2, maybe forever.  Well that is her plan.


The venue chosen, was the Spur in Springs.  Joining us, at the very squished table were a few members of the other half of the family.  Judy, Melanie and Brandon.


The highlight of the lunch, was Jessica's new camera.

It is a re-incarnation of the polaroid camera.  It has all the "magic".  You take a picture and then wait a minute or so, for the picture to form.  It's not super clear, but it's an instant memory, ON PAPER.  Very cool !

The main blip, is the lunch time crowd.  The extra, a blip taken outside, before we left.  It's me, Mom and Jessica. It's somewhat meta, that for me to capture the memory, "we" had to snap, the photo of the photo, using Jessica's iphone whatever, balanced on Karen's cell phone.
