Border Tails

Three hills

This morning when I was at work, a package that I’ve been anticipating all week, arrived.   Luckily, Christine next door had been primed to watch out for the postman and was able to sign for it and take it in for me.

The box contained “The 3 Amigos”, possibly the most well known wee felt dogs on blipfoto.   These three, who belong to blipper Kelso have been traveling the world, staying with various blippers and generally having great adventures.

As soon as I got them, we went up to Scott’s View, as it is one of the most famous views in the Scottish Borders and just a few miles from my house.  This was a favourite place of Sir Walter Scott, the novelist and poet who lived locally at Abbotsford House.   Legend has it that his horses were so used to him stopping there to look across his beloved Borders, that they stopped automatically on the way to his funeral at the nearby Dryburgh Abbey.

This afternoon, it was so cold and very windy, so the Amigos remained in their box, to stop them blowing away, but they did like the view.

Here, You will find more information and links to the boys’ journey so far.  Now for me to plan their next adventure.
