Friday night out

Excited to get up and going this morning as we were heading to Glasgow for the weekend with friends to spend 3 days at Celtic Connections - a programme of musical events from all corners of the worlds seeking to shine a light on grass roots music.

We met at Queen street and headed for our apartment on Bath street to drop off our luggage before lunch at Singl End - gorgeous baked veggie eggs with squash, onions and chick peas. Walked down to the concert hall to collect some of our tickets for the weekend events and then onto the Fruitmarket for our tickets for tonight.

Weather was lovely - clear and bright but a little chilly. Great for walking around.

Back to the apartments via the shops to unpack and have dinner as our event wasn’t starting till 9.30. It was lovely to sit and chat over a glass or two of wine.

Walked back to the Fruitmarket in good time to see my faves Colonel Mustard and the Dijon 5. Excellent night as usual with the only drama a dropped pint (not one of ours) causing some wet clothing and stickiness. The evening was due to end with a DJ set by Amy Lame’ of Radio 6 music until 2am but we chickens out at midnight and headed backed to the apartment.

All that walking meant I clocked up over 27000 steps - almost 12 miles!

Backblipped Sunday 19th
