Down by the riverside.

A cold, clear and crisp day. Time for a walk. The sky was blue and cloudless and the sun was gradually melting the Frost that had accumulated on the windscreens of the cars parked along the street.
We were dressed up warm and I took my walking stick to support my recently operated knee. We walked to a local farm shop and treated ourselves to soup and a roll before heading home. We were amazed to see a group of women swimming in a local lake as we walked back. They were actually breaking the ice as they swam. They were just wearing swim suits , brave or crazy?
Grateful today for a lovely walk, for a chance to enjoy the local countryside and proof that I can walk further now with the new knee.
