I Knew I Was Facing East

I have a terrible sense of direction, but, at sunrise, I know when I am facing east.  I was feeling a little "under the weather" this morning, so I didn't feel up to my normal walk with my sweet friend, Jane, but when I looked out my front door and saw these marvelous colors on the horizon, I thought I could make it as far as the corner to get a relatively unobstructed shot.  I did, just long enough to take a few shots, then went straight back to bed for most of the day!
