Adventure

As a child, a fallen tree such as this would be an adventure playground to be relished and perhaps only found on camping holidays. To a young mind it could become many things. Even now it feels like an escape to reach this point in the wood.

It's not an easy scene to photograph because there's so much in the way. A bit of late light catching the snow covered branches helps to form a pathway through the image making definite lines in the chaotic mess of trees and undergrowth.
