Wide Wednesday - There's no place like home...

Limited options for wide photo's today, as we've been in all day with the window fitters. We had all the actual doors and windows changed a few years back, but kept the patio door as was installed at build. Over the years it deteriorated and began to leak cold air into the lounge.

Today it went, along with the leaks. We were nervous of going plastic after having aluminium, as the latter is a thicker frame than the former. However, it all looks fab and already the room is warmer and I've turned down the heating throughout the whole house.

It would have gone slightly smoother had the fitters brought the right window glass rather than the one destined for tomorrow's job, but they kept going and all was eventually done well with no mess and no hitches. 

The road workers at the end of the road were good too about lifting their demarcation to let the long wheelbase van turn in. I'm in dialogue with the developer's contracts manager about the necessary turning circle into our narrow lane.
