A day in the life

By Shelling

Longer

The days are slowly getting longer. Right now the day begins some 20 min earlier and the sun goes down 40 minutes later than it did in the winter solstice in december. It would have been pitch dark at my walk a month ago, today it's light with long shadows. For followers with an exceptional memory you might recall this blip from september last year.

The winter is so mild, +10 degrees today, that many birds have started on their spring repertoar and some flowers are already blooming. But, according to the calendar, there are still about two months of winter left. Meteorologically though, we haven't had any winter at all this year, we still have autumn, so this year we might go directly to spring and skip winter. Weird.

The days float by quickly, today was rehearsing in the morning, then driving a friend to the hospital, a walk and yoga in the afternoon and blip in the evening. But, I still enjoy having control over my own time.
