Hebe salicifolia.....

......also known as Koromiko, a native to New Zealand.

I wandered through a native reserve this morning before the wind got up, it was pleasant with the sun streaming down as bird song drifted in the air. I noted how dry the grass was and how many trees and shrubs have finished flowering, often dried before reaching the seedpod stage.

We've had it continually warm and dry, fire restrictions are in full swing with rural areas now facing drought. It seems the next week is going to be very hot, tis summer.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone :)
