Blinded

My doctor's appointment for the influenza shot was at 13.30. A number of items had to be checked so it was close to three when I finally started home. At that hour the 11,5 kilometer stretch of road in direction north-east to south-west was headed straight to the sun. For long moments I was blinded and had only to trust my luck. Driving was painful. When  I turned to my home street at last, the (damned) sun was there at the end of the street. I could barely park my car as I simply didn't see anything anymore.

We miss the sun for months, and then once it appears, we wish it would go away. :-)
