(025) Leeds 1980

I spent some time today looking through another couple of boxes of old 35mm slides. This is a quick phone snap of one of the slides, taken while holding the slide up to the light. It's nowhere near as good quality a copy as I get using the DSLR setup but I think it's quite amazing how much detail can be captured so quickly with nothing more than a phone camera. The original image was taken in the centre of Leeds 1980, from a train approaching (or leaving) the station. This view is no longer available due to the car park in the picture being the site of a building now. The extra picture today is a screen grab from Google maps showing approximately the same view with the Corn Exchange right of centre, as in the original shot.
