Albert and the Lion

Chinese New Year celebrations were in full swing in town with a couple of lions (or are they dragons?) cavorting around the streets getting up to mischief. Albert  (not his real name of course) was being et by this one as in the wonderful story Albert and the Lion by Stanley Holloway. The other beast stole the cap off a passing young lad and made off with it. Great fun which enlivened up the town.

We had only a short time at home before setting off to Broadstairs for our own celebration of Burns Night hosted by Doug Hudson and the Hot Rats. A very good night, complete with haggis, tatties and neeps were enjoyed by all with some raucous dancing of all the old favourites.

We didn't get home until 00.30 so there was not the time or incentive to write up the journal.The shot is a lame submission for Silly Saturday. Thank you for hosting Admirer.
