Wound up in Wexford

Taste of the Canaries

As we were setting off to drive to the airport on our last day in Gran Canaria, our host, Nicolas, plucked a very large avo from a tree and gave it to us - it'll be ripe in a week, he said.  In fact, even today, just over 2 weeks later, it was not as ripe as ideal.  It was tasty, but not as good as those we had enjoyed whilst we were staying there - also from his trees.

The gin in my glass is Canarian, too - also tasty.

We had been considering a trip to Pensthorpe today, but were put off by the dark clouds first thing this morning.  The sun did briefly get out, just before we left the house to pick up some shoes from a shop in Taverham, casting lovely rainbows all over the living room from a crystal hanging in the window (see extra).

In the end, we spent the afternoon starting to plan a shindig with ArcLight.
