Sgwarnog: In the Field

Green

Just about everything in this image is green, so I thought I'd see what it looked out in mono.

The bench is one of the serpent benches that I've discussed previously, albeit in another town.

And I really need to take some sandpaper to the right wing meme stencilled on the bench and at several other locations around the park.

Having come home to get 15yo his tea I will be wrapping up and heading out again for the football. City desperately need a win; tonight Cheltenham are in town.

Post-match Postscript: Well, a win was not forthcoming, although for 85 minutes it remained a possibility. City players had clearly been briefed to press and to chase things town. The referee judged that some of this activity was over zealous and some early bookings led to an almost inevitable dismissal before halftime. City had taken the lead through an early penalty, but in the second half it was a case of repelling Cheltenham attacks and employing the dark arts of time wasting. This ended up positively engaging the crowd in a way which hadn't been  seen or heard for a while.  As the clock ticked town it looked like City might just hold out, but five minutes from the end Cheltenham managed to scramble the ball in the net. In the end a point seemed well earned.
