Ice Sledging

Walked home from the fancy dress party of last night dressed as James Bond.

Did a very unBond-like thing and fell over cutting open my palm.

I survived the night which meant sledging was on the agenda again today.

The pavements have polished into a glistening, lethal, ice finish.

We waddled up the road with Son #2 on the sledge, enjoyed a cup of fancy coffee at my sister's house and then off to Redland Park for some ice sledging. Snow and mud perfectly melded and frozen into perfect sledging conditions.

Surprisingly quiet so we assumed everyone must be sledged out. Son #1 and #2 loved it and had those care-free expressions as a result of being so lost in the moment.

Slow waddle home and through the process of de-robing. It brings to mind the palaver that you see when astronauts are taking off their space suits.

This is a shot of Kersteman Road (Battle of Java perhaps?) taken whilst the little Lumix was on miniature mode. It wasn't intentional but I quite like it. A bit of over exposure in Lightroom makes it look a bit more pristine and slush free.
