A new macro challenge

I love the colours, but am not so sure about the white background.  I’ve been experimenting with F22 as in the past I’ve always chosen quite wide apertures and a softer focus.  The depth of field is so good that we can see the weave in the cotton fabric below the leaf (I don’t like it - either the white surround or the textile pattern), but the manual focus technique I’m using is now getting more firmly embedded.
