In search of arches

I'd heard about arches built by Andy Goldsworthy in sheepfolds around Cumbria and today I took friend A and Mr D to search for some.  In driving rain we persevered and found 3 of the restored sheepfolds but no arches. Further research reveals that Mr Goldsworthy moved one arch from fold to fold, 22 in total, until it reached its final resting place near Ingleton. Not far in fact,  from where we were searching today around Kirkby Lonsdale. Oh well that can be another trip.  The sheepfold featured is by the side of the "Old Scotch Road" just north of Kirkby Lonsdale. Apparently its the only formally named  "Old Scotch Road" in the UK.  According to Blipper PaulaJ it's an old drovers road and she found another arch-less sheepfold in much better weather.
Oh well,  I did not find any Andy Goldsworthy arches, but did find a rather fine arch on St Mary's church in Kirkby Lonsdale (extra) where I took A and Mr D to shelter from the rain and seek refreshments in the Sun Inn.
