Snowdrops

A cold but reasonably bright day, so we decided to visit a National Trust property.

We had never visited Waddesdon before.  We were hoping to see carpets of snowdrops - the web site referred to "a mass swathe" and "white blankets". Actually the quantity of snowdrops was a little disappointing and there was little indication that more were on their way.  However, a low angle and a long lens could fool you into imagining the mass swathe we were expecting.

It was, nevertheless, a very pleasant walk around the grounds, and a good lunch in the cafe.  I expect we will return later in the year when the house is open (and the daffodils look promising).
