House Two Occupied

The day was largely filled with a restaurant lunch with Janet's dad and his wife, and so all I have for today is this shot, taken through double glazing. 

This is the second bird box I put in the trees several years ago and until now it's been empty. 

The near identical box in the adjacent tree has fledged tens of families, mostly of bluetits, but nary a flutter in this one. 

Today there's a family in there and I missed the actual feeding by seconds. 

Inevitably despite waiting around for ages this morning the adult didn't return again, so I didn't get a clear shot. Hey ho.
