Arnside

Today we visited Arnside, a modest sized, unspoilt, town on the estuary where the River Kent enters Morecambe Bay.
My main Blip is of the Arnside Viaduct - 552 yards (505 m) long, with 50 piers. It was built in 1857 and rebuilt in 1915. It carries the Furness Railway Line over the river to Barrow-in-Furness and the South Lakes.
My extras show the view from the pier down the river towards Morecambe Bay, and a rather nice little street named Pier Lane.
It was a lovely day, but bitterly cold.  We did find a rather pleasant Tea Room - Mrs MD has the details :-)
