Eggs

I love eggs - any way at all - I enjoy them.
Over the years we have been told 'Happiness is egg-shaped', and advised to 'Go To Work on an Egg'. During the 50s and 60s we were also encouraged to look for the Little Lion stamped on the egg to vouch for its quality.
In 1988 Junior Health Minister Edwina Currie warned the British public that most of the egg production in the UK was affected by Salmonella.
You can imagine what this did to the egg industry.....
The Lion stamp was reintroduced to signify the egg was safe and the hen that laid it had been vaccinated against Salmonella. Over 90% of the eggs sold have the Lion stamp.
(If you have under 50 hens and sell locally you do not have to stamp your eggs).
