Strumming

An afternoon at meetings in Manchester.

On my return I passed the cathedral, and called in briefly. The choir and organist were rehearsing for evensong, due to take place soon. I could not stay for that, but enjoyed the rehearsal.

Above me the 15th century nave roof is supported by angels playing gilded instruments. I like early music, and I especially like music written for the lute. Which is what I guess this instrument is.
