Kings

Today we went to the Kings Theatre open day. I went to the Kings many times when I was the age of the little ones so it was very exciting, particularly to be able to go on the stage and join in some workshops. Not a lot has changed over the years which is great. The decor and acoustics are amazing, with eveyones conversations being heard from where ever you are.

At first the little ones had a bit of stage fright but by the end on the day they were charging around playing with all the circus skills bits and running around. We even were allowed to go right up to the top where the little ones got to direct the spot lights. Boy clearly had a great time as he exploded and then needed an change in one of the backstage dressing rooms.

The little ones enjoyed a craft room where they got to make Ben and Holly hats and stuff. As we left the crafty bit I managed to trap Girls finger in the door. Thankfully it was just bruised and so she was still able to dance about on the stage with her crown, fairy wings and wand. Even so as we walked home in the cold air the finger was sore enough to make me feel dreadful all the way home.

Apart from the finger door incident though it was a brilliant day out.
