Life through the lens...

By ValC

Sun, sea and snowdrops.

The first day of the Snowdrop Festival at Burton Agnes Hall, near Driffield.
However we woke to find a very foggy morning. Not deterred we set off at 10am as the weather men said the sun we break through.
It did so just before we arrived about 11.30 am.
I think because of the weather many people had stayed away, which was fortunate for us.
The walk takes you for about a mile through the woods, and the carpet of flowers is absolutely breathtaking.
I hope storm Ciara doesn’t do any damage to the flowers when it arrives at the weekend.

From here we drove to Bridlington and a walk beside the sea.
What a fabulous day. It was nearly high tide, and the waves were crashing in along the promenade.
As always we started with fish and chips, and a cuppa. Eaten, sat on a bench overlooking the sea. ( see extra photo of Mr C, )
The a walk along the prom. and passed the Spa. Might be tempted to go back to and see one of the shows. ( see extra )
The weather was glorious, even if cold, but we were well wrapped up.
I think this has been our most enjoyable day this year so far.
Will definitely be back to Burton Agnes and Brid. again this year.
