Reflections and Fur Seal

We could not leave South Africa without crossing the Peninsula and going to Hout Bay. A sunny Saturday was not the best time, as it was very busy, especially on the beach, but this is our last day and so we took a chance. Getting there early and finding a parking space was a good start. Then we wandered down by the harbour, away from the crowds. We enjoyed watching the South African Fur Seals gliding between the fishing boats.

Then we went up to the Wharfside Grill and claimed a coveted balcony table overlooking the sea. Our favourite of all seafood restaurants - they cook and serve the fish perfectly and the people are so friendly. I had Grilled East Coast Sole; Gordon had Kingclip Fillet - delicious.

Then we left them to it and headed back. Gordon went down to swim in the sea down at 'our' beach (the water is warmer this side apparently) and has just arrived back in time for the Rugby, which he will watch, until the power goes off this evening!!

Back to Cape Town tomorrow and home.
