Muted Seamill Beach

Taking a final break from the marking (10 hours since Friday night with another 3 or so to go this evening) with a wee walk down to the beach again. Hardly anyone there today, and it was very grey and cold. The upper stretches of sand above the tide-line were frozen solid. I decided to accentuate the bleakness. A shutter speed of 1/2 second allowed blurring of the receding wave, dragging some streaks of froth in its wake, just in time for a little wavelet to start coming in. You can just see a snow-covered Arran on the horizon.
