Sunshine at last

Backblip,
A lovely, calm day which started with this wonderful sunrise. I sat in the garden watching the four robins displaying to each other. The woodpecker was hammering in a nearby tree, the sound carrying really well in the stillness.
The tide was in so after Mike’s phone calls we quickly drove down to Udale bay.Two roe deer ran across the road in front of us.A high tide so most of the land was covered. Quite a few birds around , so peaceful with just the sound of the ducks and curlew. The curlew was standing with the water right to the top of it’s legs, do not think I’ve seen one in that deep before.
Back home as Richard was coming over. We bought some soup and rolls for lunch.Richard’s getting new tyres on his car on Friday and a service next week.Cars are so expensive to run.
We then drove down to North Kessock, did not realise that an old bomb had been discovered opposite but we did see a survey boat returning. Beautiful drive down the shore road. The sun was going down and the water was still calm.
Watched Detectorists a brilliant comedy and a gentle pace, a few years old now, not sure why we have not watched it before but we’re really enjoying it :)
