FADING FAST

I had a better journey that I'd feared down to Surrey. The car wash yesterday was a complete waste of time and money with all the spray and salt on the roads. I was remembering with sister A1 that in the olden days when weather forecasting was scant and mostly ignorable we'd jump into our unroadworthy bangers and drive out into whatever was thrown at us without a second thought.

The blip is the vase of roses in my hall in the morning light before I left, and the title refers to me as well after not a very good night's sleep last night and today's drive. Mum seems to be in good fettle and more alert than I am.
