WINTER ACONITE

(Eranthis hyemalis).

When I arrived to sing in a local care home this afternoon the air felt quite mild and the light was brilliant but by the time I came out it was hazy and chilly so I didn't wander as much as I'd intended. It's the place in Kath's nearest village where they have a Snowdrop Sunday in February, and I won't be able to go this year, but was happy to see it already starry with Winter Aconites among the Snowdrops. I'll be relying on Kath to blip it again if she can tear herself away from her new grandson for long enough!
