Hobbs's Run

Wet Parking

Blackheath has now received more than 350mms of rain these past few days. Some places up and down the eastern half of NSW have had more than 500mms of rain. Virtually all lingering bushfires are now officially extinguished but hundreds of homes all over the state are inundated with water. Storage dams have risen from 42% to more than 70% full (almost instantly) but thousands of people are without power. Roads and railways are cut due to large scale erosion, flash flooding and/or felled trees ... and there' a cyclone off the coast. Ummm. Who'd like a beer?

Such is life in Australia, it seems. "What can you do?"
