About to turn

Fuzzy

Not much in the way of spring color here, so this little bouquet of cotton grass will have to do. I picked it a couple years ago at Stanydale in Shetland, near a fascinating neolithic site. The landscape was treeless and boggy and open to the wind, I was the only one around, and I was pretty enchanted. The sprigs are stuck in a little cork float from Orkney, same trip.

Daughter I. tested positive for flu today (despite shot) and got antibiotics for a secondary sinus infection. Poor girl's been fuzzy-brained and dizzy. But she's feeling better tonight, so we finished watching Shetland series 5. Son D. developed a fever tonight, so he'll see the doc tomorrow. And so it goes....
