Ice Bridges

Dear Diary,
 
This is a phenomenon that takes very special conditions to appear.  First, you must have a good fall of soft, fluffy snow that ends with a decent coating of ice.  Then, you have to have a day of melting but not too warm.  What you are left with are these little ice bridges which remind me of those scary rope bridges you see in parts of southeast Asia.  That thin orange pole you see is one of the many snow stakes that outline my driveway so Chris, my plow guy, doesn't take out the low stone walls.  I will be seeing him at some point as they are predicting 4-8 inches of new snow today!
