tulips in the snow

No, we don't have tulips flowering in our garden!

Last night, Aly Robertson and I gave our talk to the Nithsdale Elders' Union at Penpont Church Hall, about our trip to Zambia in Easter. We call the talk "Two Alisons Go to Africa". I think it went down well last night..there was an abundance of sandwiches, tea and cakes afterwards and we were both given a bunch of tulips as a mark of appreciation. Lovely.

I didn't think I'd make it into work this morning but the snow turned to sleet and the roads turned to mush and I was glad I'd made the effort.
